Set in 1973 by Dr. Ramon C. Portugal, former Vice-President for Administration,

the U.P. Staff Chorale Society is composed of

administrative, research and professional staff from Diliman, Quezon City.

With current conductor Chris Reyes, the UPSCS has staged

numerous concerts, among these are Tinig at Paglingap in U.P. Manila,
Isang Daan sa Sandaan, and Harana Sa Pasko

 at the U.P. Lagoon and Palma Hall.

 The group has also appeared on television, singing and performing roles

 for the popular drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya of ABS-CBN.

In 1996, the group went on a North American Concert tour,

staging 30 shows in 14 cities. The UPSCS had its major concert in

December 2000 and has toured the US & Canada in 2001.
